Vacation Brain Meets Healthy Body

This year, more than ever, the itch to travel is among us. Reports say that over half the U.S. will be traveling for the first time in a while. Many will be road tripping. Palm Springs, anyone? Travel feeds our souls. It connects us to people far away and nature in ways we never expected. Yet, stepping out of our routines can create a disconnect from healthy habits that better support being in a new place.

Top excuses for ditching Pilates on vacation.

  1. Schedules are off track and there’s simply no time. Nah, a modified workout can be just 5 to 10 minutes. Anyone can fit it in.
  2. No space and in a strange location – Nope. Exercise can be done anywhere.
  3. Jet lag and time zone discomfort  – Not so much. Moving your body and stretching out areas that have gotten tight or sore from travel will make you feel better. Even a short exercise burst raises your metabolism, gives you more energy and elevates your mood.
  4. Sorry, on vacation, do not disturb – Not really. Healthy habits keep us feeling our best so we can enjoy vacation even more. Staying strong keeps us on the sunny side of life, getting the best out of every day and any other activities we do.

Creative excuses, right? Maybe you’ve heard or thought one or two of them yourself.

Take on vacation with gusto.
