My Top 5 Healthy Favorites

Do you regularly invest in yourself? I do and it’s non-negotiable. These supports help me be a gentler, healthier, and more balanced person as I gratefully step into each day. My top 5 list includes:

1. Massage
I am constantly in awe of how Mohammad finds the source of my physical discomfort and makes me feel so much better. He takes a completely custom approach for each visit and he’s the best masseuse I’ve ever been to. You can find him here.

2. Chocolate
These healthy, yummy brownies come together fast – recipe compliments of the Minimalist Baker. They’re easy to make with just 4 ingredients. I eat chocolate every day and this is a delicious way to get it.

3. Hiking
Walking in nature is one of the best ways to connect to yourself and the miracles around us every day. Both Lake Hollywood, an oasis in the middle of the city, and Will Rogers, which is an easy to moderate loop by the ocean, are my go to spots.  If you’re not local to LA, AllTrails is fantastic. Download this app for the largest collection of trails online with crowdsourced reviews and photos.

4. Music
Happiness experts say that we can shift ourselves into a happier mental space by listening to music for even just 9 minutes. Here’s a relaxing playlist from Spotify that I love to listen to help me wind down after a long day

5. Masks
Health and safety are a top priority for me. My dad shared this KN94 mask on Amazon with me and I love the fit. They are incredibly well-made and comfortable.

The name for my business, Brightly Balanced, is deliberate. I created it to stay on track with healthier and happier life choices and to help others do the same. I hope that these tips are a way to lead you back on the path to discovering yours.
